PhD Candidate, Marine Conservationist
PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. I am currently working on The SWORD project, with Sea Search Research and Conservation (SSRC) and The SouSA Consortium, to explore the bioacoustics of endangered Indian Ocean humpback dolphins in South Africa.

I'm a marine biologist, diver, skipper, conservationist and ocean enthusiast.

My passions lie in marine conservation; protecting and conserving vulnerable and endangered species in and around South Africa. My background lies in marine mammal and elasmobranch biology and ecology (including physiology, telemetry and tagging methods), alongside my active involvement in local marine mammal stranding networks and training.

I am a Coach with the Ocean Conservation and education company I AM WATER. We work with local schools and youth groups teaching Ocean Skills and tidal pool exploration. Educating disadvantaged groups about the wonders of our oceans and the importance of conserving our local marine environments.
